Can I take photos of brand-name products?

It is best to avoid any brand-name products unless brand-name items are the only thing your business sells. If you sell items that are your own brand, any brand-name products may be rejected by your service provider. 

The photographer is working from guidelines specific to your service provider, and they will strictly adhere to those guidelines and will be checked against those guidelines by SmartShoot.
