Setting Your Max SmartBook Distance

Your Max SmartBook Distance determines how far you’re willing to travel for automatically assigned jobs. Setting this correctly keeps job offers within your preferred travel range while still allowing you to claim additional jobs beyond your set distance if available.

How SmartBook Uses Your Max Distance

• Jobs within your Max SmartBook Distance are automatically assigned based on your availability.
• Jobs outside this range may still be offered or appear for you to claim if no other nearby photographers are available.
• Your SmartBook Distance applies per product offering, so you can set different distances for different types of shoots.
• The centre of your SmartBook Distance is determined by the address in Account > Details > Location.

How to Adjust Your Max SmartBook Distance

1. Go to Account > My Product Offerings.
2. Find the Max SmartBook Distance for a product type - displayed in red, such as 25 MILES (32 KM).
3. Click on the distance to open a pop-up window displaying a map radius and an up/down toggle to adjust the distance.
   • Distances are set in Miles, with Kilometres (KM) displayed for reference.
   • You can zoom in on the map to visually fine-tune where your radius cuts off.
4. Update your preferred distance in miles and save your changes.

Best Practices

• Make sure your location is accurate so SmartBook calculates a true coverage area around your address.
• Consider setting different distances for different types of shoots based on how far you’re willing to travel. If SmartBook assigns you a job, we assume you’re available and willing to travel that distance. You’re in full control of your availability, location, and travel range.
• Review your settings regularly to make sure they still match your availability and preferences.
